AURA was founded in 1982 by three entrepreneurs. The name “AURA” stands for Apparatus and piping systems.
The founders recognized the worldwide demand for efficient process heat and began their work in a small production hall in Landau, Germany. The first systems were manufactured by hand.
AURA soon became an international company, supplying systems to Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
In 1984, due to lack of space, the company moved to its current headquarters in Germersheim on the Rhine-River.
Even today, the location right next to the inland port is ideal for efficient and easy transportation of systems by sea.
In 1991, AURA acquired the internationally significant ASME-certification – a key requierement for the manufacture of pressure equipment to US standards – and has since been registered as a licensed National Board member.
In 2001, AURA China, AURA`s subsidiary in Beijing, was opened and established itself as the key to the Chinese market. The local team has been managing AURA`s projects for China ever since.
Nowadays, AURA is a family business in its second generation with about 100 employees and several subsidiaries and partners worldwide.
AURA has successfully supported more than 5000 projects and delivered its systems to more than 100 countries. With its many years of experience, AURA has become a leading manufacturer of process heating systems.
We support our customers from the initial enquiry through project planning, design, manufacture and documentation to commissioning and after-sales service. Our services and products are essential components of the industrial tranformation from fossil dominated to carbon neutral heat supply.
