AURA GmbH & Co. KG is a German manufacturer and engineering partner for industrial process heating systems. Since 1982, we have designed and built custom-engineered systems for OEMs and industrial operators and support our customers throughout the project lifecycle.
AURA was founded in 1982 by three entrepreneurs. The name “AURA” stands for Apparatus and piping systems.
The founders recognized the worldwide demand for efficient process heat. They began manufacturing process heating systems in a small production hall in Landau, Germany. The first systems were manufactured by hand.
AURA soon became an international company, supplying systems to Saudi Arabia, the United Kingdom and Nigeria.
In 1984, the company moved to its current headquarters in Germersheim, Germany. The location next to the inland port continues to support the transport of industrial systems to customers around the world.
In 1991, AURA obtained ASME certification, an important qualification for manufacturing pressure equipment to US standards. AURA has also been registered as a licensed National Board member since then.
In 2001, AURA opened its subsidiary in Beijing, China. The local team has supported and managed AURA projects for the Chinese market ever since. AURA also holds the Manufacturer’s License (China).
Today, AURA is a family-owned company in its second generation, with around 100 employees and subsidiaries and partners worldwide. From its headquarters in Germersheim, Germany, AURA designs and manufactures industrial process heating systems for customers across international markets.
AURA has supported more than 6,000 projects and delivered systems to over 100 countries. Since 1982, we have built experience as a manufacturer of process heat systems for industrial applications.
We work with both OEMs and industrial operators and end customers, who invest in new systems, waste heat solututions and retrofitting. Depending on the project scope, AURA supports customers from initial technical discussions through project planning, engineering, design, manufacturing and documentation to commissioning and after-sales service.
